PRA-rcd3

PRA-rcd3 is progressive retinal atrophy, rod-cone dysplasia type 3: an inherited retinal disease that leads to blindness. It is caused by a mutation in the PDE6A gene and inherited in an autosomal recessive manner.

How does it differ from PRA-prcd?

PRA-prcd is a different form linked to the PRCD gene, with later onset. Both can occur in the Chinese Crested, and recommended tests differ between breed clubs.
